Visit from Italy

Marika and Cristiana and Irene

Marika our Italian Grundtvig assistant yesterday arranged a lesson where two Italian girls came to our school to tell us about the life as a young person in Italy.
Cristiana from Sicily and Irene from Marche talked with the students about the differences between Denmark and Italy.

Since we had just been to Italy on a culinary trip in October, the students also had a lot of thoughts about Italy. Cristiana and Irene are doing an internship at The Italian Insitute of Culture in Copenhagen and are going to stay here until december.

Differences between Denmark and Italy are:
(according to the students)
- Boys are outgoing and more open than in Denmark.
- The busses are often delayed
- The pizza is not sliced
- Denmark is not sunny
- Very sporty people
- They dress more formal in Italy
- The shops close early in Denmark - in Italy they are open late, but take a long lunchtime break.

The girls showed us a power point presentation of their lives, their family and friends and told us about their everydaylife in Italy, where Cristiana have been studying enviromental science and Irene Poliical science.

We thank them for a very interesting day together!
