Naturally, it mostly revolved around food; learning about the food and produce used, and about preparing food. Yet, it has also been about culture. I have learned a lot about Danish culture and the Danes through the food, Aline says, who heard about Madakademiet through her Danish mother-in-law.
-The school has been good for me personally. I have had courses in “Wellness” and “Personal Insighs”, and I have also become more open. This is because everyone, especially the teachers, have been so sweet and helpful.
Aline has been in Denmark for five years, and is used to talking with Danes.
-Earlier, I was a bit afraid of speaking Danish. But here I have gotten help from the others. Alina believes she is ready to finish her Danish language course this spring after her stay at Suhr’s. The language has become better, and she has gained new knowledge about the Danes and Danish culture, which she can use in her daily life.
-I may work with food one day, when I am ready for an education. It actually wasn’t the plan. But now it is a possibility.
